LICENSING & ENDORSEMENTS
Global Icons' Marketing and Licensing Division is a team of seasoned
industry experts with decades of experience in the licensing and
commercial usage of celebrities' images, corporate trademarks, and
television and film properties. Our business typically falls into two
categories:
• Licensing & Merchandising - the licensing of the images and marks
of our clients on various retail products including gifts and novelties,
stationery and paper goods, apparel, accessories, house wares, health
and beauty aids, food and beverages and home furnishings.
• Advertising & Endorsements - working with advertising agencies
and public relations firms to position our clients as spokespersons for their
corporate clients' advertising and promotional campaigns throughout the
world.
When working with a new client, we initially conduct internal and
externally commissioned market research to determine the appropriate
target markets and demographics for merchandise and endorsement
categories to pursue as well as specific qualified companies to approach.
Likewise, we develop a Confidential Client Profile (CCP) for each of our
clients. With celebrity or sports clients, we document their life and career,
including awards, achievements, charitable affiliations and previous
endorsement and licensing ventures. We also research and highlight
special dates, anniversaries or milestones that may be approaching. For
the trademarks, organizations and brands that we represent, we study
their history, the status of their trademarks, and the significance of their
brands. We build a complete profile on the television and film properties
that we represent, including demographic research, character and cast
descriptions, etc. All of this enables us to develop a multi-year, strategic
marketing plan around each client, designed to build and sustain interest
among the identified demographic audience as well as to cultivate new
fans and customers.
We set territorial and product priorities and establish licensing controls.
We then identify, locate, solicit and screen potential licensees. Finally, we
facilitate the negotiation of terms and conditions of licensing agreements
and coordinate the execution of those agreements.

Global Icons does not consider its job complete when a licensee has
signed a contract. Rather, this phase is just the beginning of the
long-standing, fruitful partnership we maintain with our participating
licensees. Our continuous and proactive support of each and every
licensee is unparalleled in the industry.
Each licensee is provided assistance in such areas as conceptual
design, sample and artwork approval, merchandising and quality control.
Furthermore, in order to unify the client's brand, Global will help coordinate
the marketing and public relations of the trademark as well as licensees'
appearances at various industry trade shows. When appropriate, we will
direct the licensees in making the strongest possible brand presentations
to management of targeted retail accounts.
